Dear pneumatic fold closer user
A sketch is attached for positioning and installation since doubts have arisen
as to when shimming is necessary for folding wheels. The shim thickness of
0.6-1.2 mm is dependent on the carrier, roof gradient and the degree of wear on
the wheel. Shims are required when the machine stays in the same place and does
not move forward where there is a steep gradient etc.
Compressor setting
Most compressors operate with 2 bar stop-start intervals. Set the maximum
pressure to 10 bar so that the compressor stops or unloads at this point. When
in use the compressor restarts at around 8 bar. Position the pressure regulator
for outgoing air where the machine is connected to 8 bar. The hose from the
machine must always be connected to the pressure regulator.
